Why am I not “there” yet!?!?!?!

So many of us have felt frustrated for not yet having the perfect business, partnership, body, bank account… Life.

So many of us fall into the trap of berating ourselves for where we have yet to go, what we have yet to achieve, what we have yet to become…

And in this frustrated longing, we fall into the trap of feeling incomplete, unfulfilled, not done. We may cry out why and when, wondering when and how its going to come…. we feel restless, doubtful, and in some subtle way, hating our seemingly incomplete selves, hating the now. Yup. I know, that’s harsh but if you feel into the energy, that’s really what its about…

And we do just that, all along, blinding ourselves to how far we’ve come, blinding ourselves to the power within us wanting to move through us, blinding ourselves to the beauty of this moment, blinding ourselves to next step and any creative insight and certainly blinding ourselves to how this very longing from our heart to get somewhere is the very energy that brought me already to all kinds of experiences, teachings, growth (and fun)! Yes, this very longing-filled discovery journey is a big part of the makeup of life!

The destination is in fact the journey and if we can stop focusing on what we haven’t achieved, we may just discover how awesome now really is. We may finally allow ourselves to explore the moment, whatever is unfolding, like a curious adventurer verses someone who is in serious frustration, lack, missing out.

WE LEARN TO DANCE WITH THE QUESTIONS, the uncertainties, the feeling of not yet having arrived, knowing it is this very question that will be the portal for the next to come through. We become excited life scientists and explorers knowing all great discoveries began with a question, a longing, a not knowing and that the journey of discovering, stretching and creating is in fact the destination and, the fun!!! Because as soon as we arrive, as soon as we’ve made it, as soon as our question becomes answered and all becomes clear, another question will arise, our soul will long to explore into something else, create something new. This is the essence of our creative selves and the ever-expanding universe… its never done! And so acknowledge yourself for how far you’ve come, allow yourself to enjoy the current moment and learn to dance with the mystery, with the great unknown… or simply said, relax into this moment, have faith and allow yourself to have fun!!! BECAUSE IT IN FACT WILL NEVER BE DONE.

This very moment, this very part of your journey is where you’ll discover how beautiful, capable, awesome, brilliant, creative and strong you are…. But not if you beat yourself up for not knowing, not if you feel frustrated for not having gotten further, not if you’re comparing yourself based on some elusive future or what others have done. That’s only going to keep you frustrated, doubtful and stuck. So be a life artist… understand that life is a creative process that begins with questions and is filled with stumbling, great insight and empowerment as you stick with it, develop faith, CONNECT WITH THE HIGHER WISDOM WANTING TO EXPRESS THROUGH YOU AS YOU and simply allow yourself to have fun!!

Yes, where you are is perfect. The more you try to rush it, the more it will elude you. Its another one of live’s great cosmic jokes… there is no quicker way to get “there” than to trust and enjoy yourself, to trust and enjoy the now.

So take a moment now to see how far you’ve come, how awesome you are and allow yourself to claim the question of whats next not from a place of frustration and fear but from the excitement, joy and curiosity of someone in love with themselves, with the process, with life. In other words, be the curious, trusting child you once were all over again. Its in you. You know how, but only if you choose!
